Hi everyone!
So excited to meet you all soon! Some faces new, some old!
Please RSVP by January 12th - I’ll be in contact with each person as I will need to set up a reservation!
This event will follow the same structure as last time: we’ll start with dinner, and afterward anyone who’s up for it can join for some bar hopping. The after-dinner portion is a more relaxed, intimate chance to connect with people you might not have been able to talk to earlier, or to meet new faces altogether!
Here are a few things to help the gathering feel comfortable and welcoming for everyone:
• Making new connections
This is a relaxed space to meet new people. If you want to exchange contact info, you’re welcome to offer yours first so no one feels pressured.
• Respect bodily autonomy / boundaries:
Please check in before offering hugs, handshakes, or any kind of touch. A quick “Is it okay if…?” helps keep the space safe and supportive for everyone.
• Keep conversations open:
Try to keep circles open and make room for people nearby—small gestures go a long way in helping others feel included.
• Move around at your own pace:
You never have to stay with one group. Wander, switch conversations, move seats, or take breaks whenever you need.
• A low-pressure environment:
Feel free to come and go whenever you want. There’s absolutely no expectation to stay the whole time—some of us get socially tired or anxious, and that’s completely okay.
• Gentle conversation vibes:
Let’s keep things kind, curious, and welcoming.
• Mindfulness around diet-culture talk:
Let’s be aware of comments about dieting, restricting food, body size, or “earning” meals. These kinds of conversations can uncomfortable or triggering. If the topic comes up, we can gently steer things back to neutral, supportive ground so everyone feels at ease.
• Mindfulness with alcohol/substances (if any are around)
Please be mindful of alcohol and substances discussions as these can be sensitive subjects.
• Shared space care: A little collective tidying as we go helps keep the environment pleasant for everyone.
*accessibility: there’s street parking which is difficult to find and metered parking which is a bit easier. However I’d reccomend rideshare or carpooling or muni just in case! There’s no dedicated parking garage that I saw.
