Dear hearth-tender π₯
The Mystical Hearth (www.themysticalhearth.com) is a Sunday service for seekers of the sacred across every path. It is a place to practice reverence without dogma, to re-remember who we are, and to be together in the vastness of whatever we call God, Mystery, Reality, Love.
We tend to this center at each service through different portals:
β€οΈ co-creation of a collective altar
π§ββοΈ communal meditation
π£οΈ a sacred passage and sermon offered by a teacher from rotating wisdom lineages
π¨ poetry, art, music, offerings, etc. shared by the community
π 45 mins of deep reading of a sacred text of one's choosing (however you define sacred; whether that's a physics or 1,000 year old text)
β¨ reading out loud passages or poetry that have moved us during our individual reading time
The flow:
6pm-6:15pm: π΅ tea & snacks served, settling in
6:15pm-6:45pm: π§ββοΈ guided meditation + introduction circle
6:45pm - 7:30pm: β€οΈ community shares

- experimental jazz
- discussion groups on mystical questions
- a mary magdalene ritual
7:30pm-8:45pm: π silent reading to candlelight
8:45pm-9pm: π―οΈ closing circle
Please bring:
π one sacred text to read during sacred reading time (whatever sacred means to you!)
π₯ sacred object to add to our altar
β€οΈ your full presence and open heart to step into vertical time
If you have art, poetry, a reading, song, an activity, anything that enables you to feel close to "the sacred" you're welcome to bring it and share it. It doesn't need to be shared from a polished place, just from a place of what's true in the moment. There will be 2 slots for community related offerings and we will ask for volunteers at the beginning of each service~
