Sweet Resistance - A welcoming and safe space for anyone seeking support, connection, and community—especially those trying to make sense of policies that harm democracy, science, environment, health, and our diverse communities.
You matter. You belong here.
This is an intentional gathering created by an amateur baker and a true cake lover. We warmly encourage you to bake something special to share with the group, or to bring a cake from a small bakery where cakes are made with care. Your cake is your love offering — a simple, sweet way to show up for community. To keep the spirit of the event, we kindly ask that you avoid bringing cakes from big grocery stores.

Bring a whole CAKE (uncut). ADULTS only.

P.S.: Here are a few photos of Bolo do Bixiga, a 40-year-old community cake-sharing tradition in Brazil that inspired this event. This party happens every year on January 25th, the day of our party.
