Join us for an organic, gluten-free potluck to welcome Shodo Spring – eco-activist, Zen priest, therapist, and Fred Cook's compañera of 50 years since their days in Movement for a New Society (1970s).
Shodo has just published OPEN REALITY: Meeting the Polycrisis Together With All Beings – an expansive vision for reconnecting with nature as family and partner, offering hope, strategies, and interspecies wisdom for our times.
"What if industrial civilization isn’t the best that humans can do? What if we weren’t alone in the world, but embedded in a universe of conscious, intentional beings?"
Expect:

✅ Gluten-free grains: Rice, quinoa, millet, teff
❌ Avoid (or make separable): Gluten (wheat, rye, oats), nightshades (white potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, goji berries)
✅ Safe: Sweet potatoes, yams
