🌱 Potluck and working Group Check-in/Announcements 🌱 For ourJuly meeting we are excited to welcome Sarah Reyes to talk about Plurinational land reform, which hopes to change the relationship between the land and the people who work on and steward rather than own it. We will also be looking at buyer's clubs, a way for individuals to pool resources in order to get better deals by cooperatively purchasing what they need. 🕕 6:00–6:45 PM Potluck dinner + arrivals. Bring a dish if you can (please label allergens). Hot plates OK, no stove use. 🌀 6:45–7 PM Announcements + small group discussions. 7PM presentation on Land Reform and Buyers Clubs 7:45 Questions and Comments 8:00 PM Socializing/collaborating/conspiring time 8:30 PM Clean up ✨ What to expect: ★ Community announcements — needs, offers, events, and invitations ★ Project networking — connect with others doing permaculture work across the East Bay ★ Self-organized conversations — practical, political, visionary, grounded ★ Relationship-building — neighbors, organizers, gardeners, and changemakers All experience levels welcome. This is a grassroots, justice-oriented space centering racial equity, land back, and collective resilience. Kiddo friendly! 📍 Oakland Peace Center – Grace Room, located downstairs (The building can be a maze; someone will be helping direct folks from 5:45-6:15p) 🌿 Garden partnership: We're partnering with the Oakland Peace Center to support their medicinal/edible garden restoration – we will share more details at the meeting! ✨ Helping out: We're looking for volunteers for setup/cleanup, door greeting, photo documentation – sign up via spreadsheet below 💚 Free, with donations welcome to support our projects RSVP so we can plan for food (link above!)
