I am excited to feature Rabiah Kabir, an amazing flautist/composer living in the bay area, and welcome back LOBE to adobe books!
Rabiah will be playing music from her new project Jezebel: Rewritten
“Jezebel: Rewritten stems from my honors thesis project for Stanford University, “The Jezebel Flute: Female Jazz Flute Players, Black Feminism and the ‘Masculine Jazz Spectrum’”. This album is a love letter to women and women of color, and the compositions themselves are in conversation with the themes and theories explored in my paper.”
LOBE will be performing compositions for their upcoming album!
