Come see Brian Chambers’ Röntgen: The (In)visible World. Brian Thomas Chambers is a Maine-born, Brooklyn-based photographer whose work insists on representing his surroundings with absolute truth and minimal interference. Operating under his studio practice, he works across commercial portraiture, editorial assignment, and fine art. He shares his love of technical process with the community and spends his spare time repairing photographic equipment. Shooting on orthochromatic medical x-ray film, he utilizes the diagnostic tools of radiology to capture other unintended subjects, rendering streets, structures, and figures in a tonal range that exists somewhere between document and dream. The project takes its name from Wilhelm Röntgen, whose 1895 discovery of the x-ray promised to make the invisible visible. Brian uses that same intent to ask what the world reveals when photographed with a medium designed to see through things. Drinks on the house! Bring a friend.

We're back with another photo only salon show at The Greenpoint Gallery. After receiving an overwhelming amount of submissions for the previous salon show, we have decided to do another one. Over 60 photographers will be featured over two floors at an industrial gallery. Both floors will have live music all night. This is an incredible opportunity to share your work and meet photographers of all backgrounds. If you've exhibited or attended previous shows, you know that the gallery is packed all night. If you have exhibited before, you are free to submit new works as well! Previous photographers are encouraged to apply. I am grateful for the community of photographers that have attended multiple shows. It's always nice to see familiar faces as well as new inspiration. We also have a secret panel of judges that will pick a winner of 200$ and a solo show at The Greenpoint Gallery. Runner-ups will be invited to be a part of a group show at the gallery. But when it came to release in the US, director Tomas Tang scrapped and heavily re-edited the movie, enlisting bad movie legend Godfrey Ho to insert completely new footage featuring American actors, ninjas, and hopping vampires! The resulting film is a baffling hodgepodge that truly needs to be experienced to believe! It’s going to baffle, it’s going to confuse, and as always, it’ll be a hilarious time! (Movie will be dubbed in English) Trouble is afoot when the evil witch Monica teams up with Cooper, lord of the seas, and Rudolph, a mysterious shadowy government figure. With Monica’s army of Jiang-Shi (hopping vampires), and Coopers undersea kingdom of human souls turned into crocodiles, world domination is in their grasp! The only thing stopping their evil plan is US Special Agent Bruce Thompson! We’ll start at the West Side Community Garden on 89th Street, where the tulip festival should be in full swing, then make our way through Central Park to catch some of the park’s most beautiful cherry blossom spots. 📍 Meetup: West Side Community Garden (89th Street entrance) at 3 PM. We’ll gather here for 30 minutes before starting the walk. We’ll pass through several scenic spring spots along the way: • West Side Community Garden (89th Street): Tulips and early spring blooms. • Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir: Walk along the water with views of cherry trees in bloom. • Great Lawn: A big open space to enjoy the sun and views of the blossoming trees. • Cedar Hill: A quieter, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. • Pilgrim Hill: Great vantage point for cherry blossoms near the hilltop. • Cherry Hill & Bow Bridge: One of the park’s most iconic cherry blossom views and a perfect photo spot. • Bethesda Terrace: Grand stone terrace overlooking the fountain, surrounded by spring trees and one of Central Park’s most iconic gathering spots.
