Drawing Badly Club
Sun at 7pm
· England
It's back! Drawing Badly Club hosted by @piscesdisco.art on Sunday 19th 7-9pm at The People's Letters It's a much needed antidote to utra processed AI, perfectionism and being a bore! Expect a relaxed environment with warm up exercises and prompts that you can approach at your own speed and share as you wish. The only mandatory activity is you HAVE to draw something you’ve never tried drawing before! (promise it’s liberating to try something new even if it sucks - to become good at things you must be willing to be bad at them first) Materials will be provided so you only need to bring yourself. Solidarity tickets help keep us running low cost events and we super appreciate those who are able to contribute in this way!

1000 cups of Vietnamese coffee for London streets
Last Monday to Sunday
· England
We’re on a mission: to bring 1,000 Cups of authentic Vietnamese coffee from the home farm straight into the hands of Londoners. This isn’t your usual coffee stop. We’re serving bold, creamy, and nutty Vietnamese Robusta - slow-dripped and perfectly paired with condensed milk. The result? A rich, sweet, and powerful cup that wakes you up and lifts your mood after a long day. Feeling hungry? We’ve got you covered. A limited number of traditional bánh mì (Vietnamese baguettes) will be available for lunch time - crispy, flavourful, and made to pair perfectly with your coffee. Grab a discounted bánh mì + coffee combo (a true holy pairing), but be quick - it’s limited. If your day feels too long, come find us. Let the coffee do its thing. And here’s the fun part: every 100th cup is on us. No gimmicks - just a little celebration with every milestone. But this pop-up is more than coffee. It’s about people. Have you been working in Fitzrovia for years but only know your own colleagues? This is your chance to change that. Come meet people from different offices, creatives, neighbours, and fellow coffee lovers. Let’s turn the neighbourhood into more than just a place to work. Expect a true Vietnamese street-style vibe: small red plastic chairs, casual seating, and that lively, social energy you’d find on the streets of Hanoi or Saigon. Pull up a chair, stay awhile, and chat with strangers who might not stay strangers for long Come for the coffee. Stay for the conversations! Help us reach 1,000 cups - and make Fitzrovia feel a little more like a community.

Next Sun at 3pm
· England
📚Pick of the month📚 'Dinner' by Meera Sodha Meera Sodha is a British food writer and cook, best known for her weekly column 'The New Vegan' in The Guardian. She is also the author of four international bestselling cookbooks, celebrated for her often joyful and approachable take to everyday cooking. Her latest cookbook, 'Dinner' - one of our favourites - consists of 120 vibrant easy-to-make recipes inspired from Asian flavours. It is a book that is well suited to home cooks with a range of ability levels. ✨What is a Cookbook Club?✨ We each pick one (or more) recipes from the book that we will cook and bring on the day to share potluck style. 💭 How does it work?💭 1. RSVP & pay £6 per person via the Monzo link to 'Sher M Wong'. Please add your names! 2. Claim your recipe via the GoogleDocs 3. Cook and bring your dish on the day. Don't forget a serving utensil and a tupperware to take home the leftovers! 4. We eat, we make a friend or 10, we discuss the food and enjoy! 🍷Our lovely venue 🍷 ****UPDATE***** Due to space constraints, we will be moving to a new, much larger venue so we can accommodate everyone more comfortably. Nest and Vine is a brand new cafe, florist and wine bar by Queens Rd Peckham Station run by Joey and Rosie, two brilliant people who are building it to be a place for locals to gather as well as a community space for artists, musicians and makers to share their work. (Queens Rd Peckham Station is about 8 mins train from London Bridge.) Drinks to be bought at the venue. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages for those who prefer not to drink. Please support the venue in any way you can including purchasing some of their beautiful flowers! A microwave can be made available for those who may need to heat up any part of their dish. ( Please let me know if you can no longer make it due to the venue change. ) 💡Info💡 As we have limited capacity, please only RSVP if you can definitely make it. Please also note that the links to the RSVP and payment are separate on this platform - ****your spot is not confirmed until you have paid! You have 48 hours to pay once you RSVP or you might be removed. **** We charge a small ticket fee to ensure attendance and to cover the costs of paper plates, cutleries, napkins, decor, and whatever leftover will go towards supporting the venue, whether through the purchase of flowers or shared bottles of wine and/or other beverages. If you don’t have the book and need a recipe - please join our WhatsApp Community Group or DM @cookbookclub_ldn on Instagram. 💛💛Looking forward to seeing you there at our very first Cookbook Club meetup! 💛💛
