The Dasein AI Film Festival is a curated screening event focused on short films that engage with questions of consciousness, identity, memory, and human–machine relations through the use of AI. Inspired by the concept of Dasein the awareness of one’s presence and relationship to the world the festival presents works that examine how emerging technologies influence perception, authorship, and cinematic form. We highlight filmmakers who use cinema as a space for exploration rather than spectacle. Films that reflect on how images are made, how stories are shaped, and how meaning shifts when human and algorithmic processes intersect. The evening is structured as a shared viewing experience followed by conversation and connection among artists, jury members, and guests.
