It's Love on a Leash, a notoriously bizarre film from the deeper depths of the Bad Movie iceberg, but hailed in the same breaths as other Bad Movie staples like The Room and Fateful Findings! A movie that defies all logic and sanity, Love on a Leash features a dozen increasingly weird plot points, a racist singing dog, and a story about reincarnation that'll restore your faith in true love! Or maybe it won't. Idk dawg, but this movie is nuts. Plot: Lisa has all but given up on finding her Mr. Right, but when she takes in a stray golden retriever named Prince, she gets far more than she bargained for. That's because this dog has a secret: at night, he turns into a human man! Cursed by a spirit to become a dog until he finds true love, Prince thinks Lisa may finally be the one to break the spell. You Can Cut All the Flowers, But You Cannot Keep Spring From Coming is Third Door Brooklyn’s first group art exhibition, inspired by a widely shared line of hope and resistance often attributed to the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. The exhibition reflects on what cannot be taken away. The works in this exhibition approach renewal through multiple forms and gestures. Mary Royall’s paintings of light draw attention to the immediate world around us, urging awareness of what is already present. Dipa Halder’s abstract works made with raw pigment and salt register traces of presence and absence. Devon Grimes’s images of shared tables and meals reflect moments of gathering, nourishment, and the pleasure of being together. Sophie Kitching’s abstract florals on paper are the premise for her large-scale paintings and murals in which the expression of nature knows no bounds. Gabrielle Guthrie’s split-panel abstract landscapes speak to a desire for connection despite distance and division. Ritz is a Manhattan-based singer and songwriter driven by the belief that everyone deserves to experience the feeling of creating music in the moment. Conduit, Stop1 resident, is a rising star in the Brooklyn electronic music scene. A conduit for sound, a crafter of connection, and a maestro of emotion. Whether you've seen him at the Williamsburg Bridge or somewhere deep in the forest, you know his sound is silky, psychedelic, and technical. Iggy Nuclear is the founder of the legendary Adverse Effects collective in Philadelphia. Having shared the stage with Julia Govor, DJ Tool, and others, he uncovers gems, playfully interweaves emotion and tension, all with an air of deep craft. Kettle is one of the founders of Stop1 and is known for his diverse sets, mixing house, techno, and disco into euphoric times on the dance floor. His sets blur the line between accessible and educational as he digs deep into his record bag. Focused on inclusivity, he created Stop1 for everyone, an entry point into the dance music scene. Sotiris is our lighting engineer, and we are blessed to have him on the team. His lighting design is simple, classy, and deeply emotional. He takes reference from the best parties and clubs in the world and brings their influence to Stop1, creating our little universe here.
