Cyanotopye Workshop - Afterimages of Memory

Sun at 3:30pm · Brooklyn
Join At the Table and Work in Progress for an intimate creative wellness workshop exploring memory, impermanence, and the quiet traces we carry. Through a blend of meditation, guided writing, shared reflection, and the ethereal process of cyanotype, we’ll reflect on memory and impermanence, creating space to notice the “afterimages” that stay with us long after a moment has passed. Through guided prompts, we’ll give shape to fleeting or tender memories that feel like stolen moments: moments that passed too quickly, or perhaps never fully belonged to us, yet left their mark. Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic printing processes. Using sunlight and specially coated paper, objects exposed to light leave behind white impressions against a deep blue background. During the workshop, we’ll create cyanotype prints using personal photos, flowers, and found materials, experimenting with light, shadow, and composition. It is, quite literally, the art of stealing a moment from time. Each piece becomes an imprint: a quiet echo, a fragment, a memory made visible. WHAT TO EXPECT 💌 📆 Sunday, June 14, 2-5PM 📍 Telos Haus, 303 Ten Eyck St, FL 2 🍵 Hand-made Snacks and drinks provided 🎨 Hosted by At the Table and Work in Progress 🎨 All craft materials provided – come as you are! You’ll create up to 2 cyanotype prints to take home. If you’d like to work with personal photos, text 1–2 images to Anna at 952-688-7867 by June 10. You’re also welcome to bring small personal items to incorporate into your prints - flowers, lace, jewelry, handwritten notes, or other flat/semi-transparent objects work best. About Us: At The Table is a creative wellness community where people come together to connect, share, and explore themselves through creativity. Rooted in curiosity, care, and intention, we believe everyone has something meaningful to bring to the table. As a NYC-based series of curated creative wellness gatherings, our workshops are thoughtfully designed to create space for reflection, presence, and connection through art-making, writing, and food—engaging mind, body, and spirit. ❗️Return Policy: No refunds 48 hours before the event.

[Pride Edition] GAY BAR FUN RUN

Tue, Jun 23 at 7pm · Brooklyn
Get ready to celebrate Pride Month with a little twist on our Gay Bar Fun Run, all while supporting an incredible cause! Join us on June 23rd in running through the streets of Brooklyn, per usual, with our 3 or 5-mile run. Afterward, stick around for a fantastic evening of raffles, drinks, and a fundraiser benefiting the Ali Forney Center (AFC). Can't join us but still want to make an impact early? We thank you for making your generous donations here: https://fundraise.aliforneycenter.org/greatdayforrunners. Did you know that a staggering 40% of youths experiencing homelessness in NYC identify as LGBTQ+? Even more heartbreaking, 80% of the youth AFC serves have been kicked out of their homes and abandoned by their families simply for being who they are. AFC is the nation’s largest agency dedicated to providing essential support to LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness. 📍 The Exley ⏰ 7:00pm run start 🔁 Your choice of 3 or 5 miles 💸 $10 suggested donation to AFC 🍸 Just here for the party? Come at 7:30pm! 🤝 All people & all paces welcome 🎒 Bag drop available --- On a personal note, I have been involved with AFC for years and have volunteered in their shelters. AFC goes above and beyond, creating pathways for these youths to reclaim their lives and become independent adults. They give queer kids a chance at life, something I believe everyone in our community deserves. It is truly special to have an event that supports the queer economy through local businesses (shoutout to the Exley!), fosters community through running, and helps shape a brighter future for LGBTQ+ kids. To me, that is what Pride is all about! Love, Brian

Brooklyn Cookie Swap

Sat, Jun 27 at 2pm · https://maps.app.goo.gl/hJoTzSjBZpzQgNa69?g_st=ic
Get ready… the BROOKLYN COOKIE SWAP is happening in Prospect Park on June 27th at 2 p.m. RSVP to secure your spot — then send to all your friends! Two friends. One shared obsession: cookies. This is how the Brooklyn Cookie Swap was born. We're so excited to bring together fellow cookie lovers to try a variety of flavors… and meet some new friends! Arrive with 1-2 dozen cookies. Leave with new friends and a flavor you didn't expect to love. FAQ: 🍪 Where and when is the event? 👉 Prospect Park West, in the field just behind the Tot Lot, at 2 p.m on June 27th. The specific pinned location is in the Partiful details. 🍪 What types of cookies should I bring? 👉 Be creative! The purpose of the Brooklyn Cookie Swap is for everyone to try a variety of flavors, so we encourage you to be as creative (or as classic) as you’d like. We highly encourage homemade cookies, but if baking isn’t your thing, bringing your favorite cookies from a bakery or store is totally welcome too. The only rule is that the cookies must be appropriate for people ages 5-105, so 420-friendly cookies, boozy cookies, or any illegal substances are not permitted. 🍪How are you dealing with food allergies? 👉 Upon arrival, all guests must check in to register their cookies and receive a cookie placard, where they will write the name of their cookie and any allergens. Please note, while we require people to note allergens, we can’t guarantee there will not be cross-contamination as this is a potluck style event. 🍪 What if it rains? 👉We will update the Partiful 24 hours before the event if there are any weather-related changes.
