Dolores Park Picnic 🧺| SF Supper Club Meetup #2

Sat, Mar 14 11am · San Francisco
Pls join the waitlist if you’d like to go! Many people don’t show or no show last minute so there will be open spots! 😊 This is for the sf supper club. Please be sure to join the discord below! For all folx who want to get to get to cook together! All people are welcome!! This would mean gathering at somebody’s place of living and cooking it up together. But first step is safety. So this will be our second meet and greet to get to know each other better! This will be a potluck so please comment below what you will be bringing! Anything is allowed, and you are also welcome to share any dietary preferences or restrictions for awareness, though accommodations can’t be guaranteed. Community Agreements / Acknowledgments: Respect bodily autonomy / boundaries: Please check in before offering hugs, handshakes, or any kind of touch. A quick “Is it okay if…?” helps keep the space safe and supportive for everyone. Diet Culture Acknowledgment: This supper club recognizes that food carries history, emotion, and politics. We’re living in a culture that rewards restriction, thinness, discipline, and self-denial, while punishing people for existing outside narrow body ideals. These pressures are shaped by patriarchy, racism, historical colonialism, capitalism, ableism, and purity culture, and they land unevenly. Because of this, we are explicit about boundaries at the table. We do not allow conversations that frame food or bodies in moral terms, such as comments about “being good,” earning food, cutting back, cleansing, or fixing bodies, as well as anything related to movement and morality (counting steps, discussing exercise for weight loss, “new year, new body” narratives) because these narratives reinforce food and body hierarchies and can cause harm, even when unintended. This boundary exists to support a shared environment of care and respect, not to police individuals. Our intention is to keep the table open and welcoming to everyone by resisting narratives that tie worth, health, or virtue to what or how someone eats. We choose food as connection, not control. ♥️ For the SF SUPPER CLUB! Join here https://discord.gg/56xwsTeGAX Here’s to new friends and (hopefully!) cooking together soon! 🙂
