Make a Friend Picnic - Dolores Park
Sat, Sep 12 at 12:30pm
· San Francisco
Update: this is officially becoming a monthly thing. The first one got so big we ran out of blanket space. Everyone walked away with full hearts and a little sunburnt. I'm still new to the Bay, and this is still the most extroverted thing an introvert can dream up: inviting a pile of strangers to come sit in the grass with me. My social battery is finite. My love of people, picnics, and the specific magic of introducing two people who end up becoming real friends is not. So here I am again, being brave, inviting you to Mission Dolores Park. Bring your own picnic setup: a blanket, drinks, snacks, whatever makes sitting in the grass feel a little luxurious. I'll either be the redhead having a solo picnic reading something objectively terrible on Kindle Unlimited, or the redhead surrounded by people looking a little overwhelmed because this happened again. Athena, my dog, will be there too, asking you to throw her ball or slip her a snack. She has no shame about it. Either way, come say hi.

Dane + The Ronnie Blaze Band @ The Faight
Sat at 7pm
· San Francisco
Party people!!! 🍷🎉💗 We have a very special show for you on Saturday, September 5th at the Faight Collective 🧡 Dane plays heartfelt alternative pop-rock, drawing inspiration from confessional lyricists like Lana Del Rey and sonic inspiration from bands like Mazzy Star. Ronnie Blaze Band is an iconic San Francisco band. Following the end of the pandemic, Ronnie Blaze emerged onto the San Francisco Bay Area club and open mic circuit. Happily paying his dues in half empty dive bars and supper clubs as a sideman to Mike Dingle and his Third Thursday Band, he marinated in one of Rock and Roll’s most storied cities. These experiences have left him well seasoned and hungry to prove himself, which he does on his debut single named after that city by the bay: San Francisco. This show is also commemorating Dane’s release of their first song- Between Me and The High. Be there, bring friends and be ready to PARTY!!! LOVE U 💥

A Very Odysserious Run

13.1 miles home. give or take ten years. ⏳ You won a war ⚔️🐴. Achilles you're not, but by the gods you're going to jog all 13.1 miles 🏃♂️💨 home. One problem: Poseidon 🔱🌊 is chasing you on foot, personally furious, trident in hand, cardio unfairly good. This is nothing per-sea-nal 🌊. It's extremely per-sea-nal. 😤 You are NOBODY 🫥. Everyone is NOBODY 🫥. Wear a bedsheet 🛏️ — it's a toga now. 🏛️ Reach Ithaca 🏝️ Then we cold plunge 🧊🥶, because 13.1 miles later our bodies are Trojan-horse-d 🐴 and freezing water is the only dignified response. 🫡 🏛️ 13.1 miles · 🩹 Toga encouraged · 🔱 Poseidon is a dude we're hiring to chase you · ⚰️

Matcha Society: Halloween Edition🎃🍵
Sat, Oct 24 at 1pm
· San Francisco
Spooky season calls for a slightly different Matcha Society meetup 🎃🍵 This time we’re heading to Karma Cafe, a cozy café known for going all-in on seasonal decorations, including Halloween 👻. They’ve also offered pumpkin spice and other seasonal drinks in past fall seasons, so whether you’re a matcha person, coffee person, or just want something sweet, there should be plenty to choose from. We’ll grab our drinks, hang out at the café for a bit, and then walk over to the Panhandle 🌳. Once we’re there, we’ll go with the group’s vibe and either pull out conversation cards to get to know each other better or play some board games together. You’re also welcome to bring a book, draw, journal, take photos, or just relax with everyone. And because it’s Halloween, come dressed up! 🎃 It can be a full costume, something silly, spooky makeup, cat ears, or even just a small Halloween accessory. No need to go all out unless you want to. Come alone or bring a friend. The whole point is to spend a cozy October Saturday meeting people over something good to drink. 👻✨

Run for Mutts
Sat at 9am
· San Francisco
Join me for a community 2.7-mile run/walk/bike benefiting Muttville Senior Dog Rescue! @muttvillesf After the unexpected yet amazing amount of interest in this run, I’ve decided to keep things a little simpler and make it more of a community morning than a formal race. 💗 We’ll meet at Equator Coffees at the Golden Gate Bridge and make our way together to Equator Coffees at Fort Mason, where we’ll hang out, grab a coffee and a bite, and connect with one another afterward. 📍 START: Equator Coffees — Golden Gate Bridge 📍 FINISH: Equator Coffees — Fort Mason 🏃♀️ DISTANCE: 2.7 miles 🐕 Runners, walkers, bikers & pups welcome! And then comes the fun part… an afternoon auction benefiting Muttville! 🐾 I’m so excited to have some incredibly generous people donating handmade and one-of-a-kind prizes: 🧶 A handmade blanket by @vialeopardi 🐶 A custom pet portrait by my friend Maggie 📸 A pet photo session with @jpriestly 🐾 A handmade ceramic pet feeder by @ceramiccfacade All proceeds from the auction will go toward supporting Muttville Senior Dog Rescue and the senior dogs in their care. Donations are always encouraged, but never required. If you’re able to contribute, every dollar makes a difference in helping senior dogs receive the love, medical care, and forever homes they deserve. ❤️ Come run, walk, bike, bring your pup, meet some new people, grab a coffee and a bite, and help us do something good for the community. No pace requirements! This is meant to be an easygoing morning for everyone to enjoy. The duration of the event will be approximately three hours. Donations can be made through the Every.org fundraiser linked in this Partiful. Can’t wait to see you there! 🐾💗 Instagram: @imsosaturn

Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the Paper Trail Book Club, where we aim to enjoy the natural beauty that the Bay Area has to offer while getting to discuss some of our favorite books! For our first meeting, feel free to discuss any book that you've been reading recently and bring suggestions for what next month's book should be. We'll vote on it at the end! Our first hike will be at Las Trampas Peak. Known for stunning views, this hike is rated as moderate and runs just around 4.5 miles with slightly over 1000 feet in elevation gain. The full details can be found in the AllTrails link above. The parking lot here is free and we encourage as many people to carpool as possible. IMPORTANT: Please try to arrive as close to the hour as possible to allow time to sign an activity waiver. All hikers must have one signed to participate. Paper Trail Book Club is a safe space that aims to provide a solace for bookworms and hikers of all backgrounds. Anyone engaging in misogynistic, racist, homophobic, or any sort of bigoted conduct will be asked to leave and will not be welcome to join us for future activities.
