Hosted at Daydream Darkroom’s home within the Warehouse 416 artist space in Oakland, the event celebrates the diverse and tactile practices emerging from the Bay Area’s contemporary photography community. The exhibition will feature work by Sophia Cutino, Mia Komel, Matty Lynn Barnes, Derek Macario, De’Juan Edwards, Aidan Jung, Ed Garnica, Michael Hoy, Adrienne Peña, and Andrew Kodama. Alongside the exhibition, ((CAMERA NOISE)) will feature a marketplace of independent publishers, photographers, and local photo organizations, creating an opportunity for visitors to discover and support the artists and communities producing photo books, zines, prints, and other photographic work throughout the Bay Area. The evening will also include live DJ and music performances, snacks and refreshments, and an instant large-format 4×5 Polaroid portrait station, inviting guests to participate in the photographic process and take home a one-of-a-kind instant image. More than an exhibition, ((CAMERA NOISE)) is a gathering of photographers, artists, publishers, darkroom practitioners, and friends. The Oakland Peace Center Gardens are community-ran edible+medicinal garden projects housed around the Peace Center. They share fresh food with OPC neighbors, Wood St. Commons, and organizations serving unhoused community members. The East Bay Permaculture Guild and friends have been partnering with OPC to steward a portion of the garden space for the past few months. This month we will be doing some general garden upkeep, discussing our harvesting/distribution system for produce, and possibly doing some soil amendment in the garden beds. As we wind down the work party, we may be hosting a skill share—stay tuned for more info! On the agenda: - Water and Weed 💧 - Tend to/prune overgrown plants ✂️ - Harvest! 🍅🥬🍓🌿 - Set up produce available produce in mutual aid cabinet🪧 Snacks and lunch provided🍱 Have something you would like to add to the agenda? American mahjong for beginners (lesson 1 )

Hi! This is a beginner friendly lesson for American style mahjong, all are welcome! I can teach up to 8 at a time. Mahjong does take a few hours to learn, so it’s broken up over a few weeks, but we will make it fun! I’m going to start teaching on Sundays and Thursdays. So if you can’t make Sunday one week, you can come Thursday or vice versa. After lessons one and two we can do guided play, and then hopefully make it a regular thing! What to bring: I will have a mahjong set and cards for us all to use. I also have printed out cheat sheets for you to take home and practice online. If you want to bring anything, drinks or snacks for the group are always fun:)

Oakland Beach Tennis Open 2026

Oakland Adult Recess presents the Oakland Beach Tennis Open 🏓. A single-day, social, fun tournament for anyone aged 18 to 58. This is a doubles (2 vs 2) team tournament. If you don't have a teammate, we will pair you up with someone. Beach Tennis is one of the hottest new sports in the world. Not only is it wickedly fun and easy to pick up, but it's also one of the healthiest sports you can play BONUS: The Grand Lake Farmers Market is right there and will be active during the same time for your food & drink pleasures 🍩☕🍔 Never played before? Don't sweat; we host open play practice & training sessions (free, included in the price of tournament registration), so come to one or all of them to learn from an instructor and play with others in a fun social setting we call 'Adult Recess'. Each session is held in the same location as the tournament at Eastshore Park in Oakland, CA. Join us for a community run/walk benefiting Muttville Senior Dog Rescue! 🐶 @muttvillesf I am hosting another run to support senior dogs in need, with route options for 5K, 10K, and 10 miles. Whether you’re a casual runner or training for something bigger, there’s a distance for you. I’ll be putting together a list of local coffee shops and food spots near each route’s start/end so we can hang out, refuel, and connect afterward. This is a great way to meet new people, move your body, and support an amazing cause. Donations are highly encouraged (but completely up to you and what feels comfortable). Every dollar helps give senior dogs the care they deserve. Donations can be made through the every.org fundraiser linked in this Partiful.
